Dr. Ciara has worked for over 20 years as a psychologist. For 14 of those years, she worked on community mental health teams in Ireland, and for 7 of those years, she worked as a senior psychologist.

In 2008, she moved to Santa Barbara and worked with a reputable non-profit counseling center serving the underserved for 12 years, before establishing her own private practice.

In the course of her career she has worked with children, adolescents, adults, seniors, couples, families, and veterans.

Dr. Ciara finds joy in the company of children and humble adults, in poetry and dance, and in nature and with animals. She values honesty, humor, and authenticity.
